75th Miss Universe coronation night to be held on November 24 in Puerto Rico

We have a date! The 75th Miss Universe coronation night will be on Wednesday, Nov. 24 (Nov. 25 in the Philippines).

The organization on Wednesday evening announced, "This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The journey leads to November 24, when the world unites for the 75th Miss Universe Competition."

Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union will be representing the Philippines at the international pageant to be held at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.

The recent Miss Universe pageant has been mired in controversy from the executive level down to the contestants.

Leadership troubles began in June 2025 when former CEO Anne Jakrajutatip resigned amid allegations of falsifying financial statements. She was succeeded by Mario Búcaro, who stepped down a little over a month after taking office.

Tensions escalated during pre-pageant activities in Thailand, where reigning queen Fátima Bosch was involved in a viral confrontation with Miss Universe Thailand National Director Nawat Itsaragrisil, causing several candidates to walk out in protest. Medical concerns also cast a shadow over the event when Miss Jamaica 2025, Gabrielle Henry, suffered an intracranial hemorrhage following a fall during a preliminary showcase.

The drama culminated at the final event, where Bosch’s victory faced widespread backlash. A judge who reportedly resigned days before coronation night claimed the outcome was predetermined—an allegation Miss Universe President Raúl Rocha has strongly denied.

Adding to the ongoing controversy, Sarah Dzafce was stripped of her Miss Universe Finland title in December after a circulating photo surfaced showing her making a derogatory, racist gesture toward the Asian community.
