It's official! Allie and Dean are the focus of 'Off Campus' Season 2
We got a tease of Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis' blossoming relationship in Season 1 and now, it continues in Season 2.
Prime Video has confirmed that Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn will be the lead of the second season of Off Campus, a new romance series based on Elle Kennedy’s book series.
"One couple made a deal. The next one is keeping the score. From Garrett & Hannah to Dean & Allie—the Off Campus love story continues in Season 2," Prime Video wrote in the caption.
The author told TODAY.com that fans can expect more "plot points" to happen in the upcoming season.
“So half the book, they are hooking up, but once their relationship kind of deepens ... there are so many plot points that are happening that we have not seen,” she said.
She also teased that the series features a "big spoiler," noting that in the book, the story dives deeper into Allie and Dean’s individual journeys. Allie finds herself at a career crossroads in her acting, while Dean begins to fall in love with coaching.
“I think they’re going to see some of their favorite moments that haven’t happened yet. There’s some scenes that they’re going to be getting teary-eyed over that are from the books,” she added.
“There’s a lot more to come, I don’t think that the whole story was already told.”
Showrunner Louisa Levy told Deadline that Hannah and Garrett, the lead couple from the first book, will return for the show, with Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli reprising their roles.
“We love the couples, so there is a passing of the baton that happens, but we also don’t want Hannah and Garrett to ride off into the sunset and disappear from the landscape of our show,” she said. “They are still very much present in season two, and are a big part of the community of characters that we’re building on the show.”
Furthermore, while Allie and Dean’s The Score is the third book in the series (coming right after The Mistake), Logan and Grace will still very much be featured in the show.
“I think fans of The Mistake are still going to be happy, because we have our Grace. We have our Logan. So it’s not like they’re not going to be in the show,” Kennedy said. “Everyone is going to get their moment.”
However, Josh Heuston is confirmed not to return for the next season. In the book, his character, Justin, falls for Allie’s friend Stella in The Score.
