Jerome Ponce is mourning the loss of his youngest brother, Jesus Omboy Porciuncula.

On Saturday, June 13, the actor paid tribute to his sibling through an emotional Instagram post featuring a carousel of their photos together.

“Boy.. mahal kita sobra. Maaabot ko rin rank mo... hintay lang,” he wrote in the caption.

"GGWP," he added, which means "Good Game, Well Played," a phrase in gamer lingo.

Celebrities have expressed their sympathies to Ponce in the comments section of his post.

"Mahigpit na yakap, ‘nak @mrjeromeponce," veteran actress Eula Valdez wrote, accompanied by a prayer emoji.

"Much love to you and the fam, brother! Grind time," actor and influencer Eric "Eruption" Tai added.

The actor is known to have a close relationship with Omboy, with whom he shares a striking resemblance.

"Pinaka-close ko sa family, my youngest brother. Siya kasi ang nakikita kong better version of me as early as now kasi, I mean, I’m not his dad pero naglo-look forward siya sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. Lahat ng ginagawa ko, gusto niyang gawin. And sobrang wala nang sasarap sa isang taong gustong umidolo sa ’yo, hindi lang umidolo kundi to be a better version of you. Pero hindi lang para higitan ka but, you know, kung ano man ‘yung kulang, siya ‘yung gagawa," he said in a previous interview with PUSH ABS-CBN.

Ponce's mother, Gema Zafra, also announced the death of Omboy in a Facebook post on June 12.

“It is with great sadness that we share that my beloved son, Jesus Omboy, is now with our Heavenly Father. We know that many of you were part of his life and shared memories, laughter, and friendship with through the years. As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we ask that you keep him and our family in your thoughts and prayers,” she wrote on social media.

The cause of Omboy's death was not specified.
