SEVENTEEN's DK, Vernon military service dates announced by PLEDIS

SEVENTEEN's DK and Vernon are set to begin their mandatory military service this August and September.

On July 27, their agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, announced on Weverse that Vernon is set to enlist on Aug. 20, while DK will enlist for active duty in the Army on Sept. 8.

The agency said that both K-pop idols will participate in all official activities scheduled before their enlistment dates. It added that fellow enlistees and their families will also attend the enlistment ceremony.

Fans were asked to refrain from visiting the enlistment site on the day of their enlistment.

Despite their enlistment, PLEDIS assured fans that the two will still be able to connect with CARATs through a variety of pre-recorded content.

"Please send your messages of farewell and support for the members on Weverse," it said.

"We ask for your continued love and support for DK and Vernon until they complete their military service and return in good health. PLEDIS Entertainment will continue to support our artists every step of the way," it concluded.

Three SEVENTEEN members are currently enlisted in the military. Wonwoo is expected to return in January 2027, while Woozi and Hoshi are expected to return in March of the same year.

Jeonghan completed his military service last June. On the other hand, The8, Jun, and Joshua are exempted due to their foreign citizenship, while S.Coups was exempted due to his past knee injury.

SEVENTEEN is a 13-member group composed of Vernon, Hoshi, DK, Seungkwan, Mingyu, The8, Dino, Joshua, S.Coups, Woozi, Junhui, Jeonghan, and Wonwoo. Some of their hit songs include Very Nice, Super, Rock with You, HOT, and _WORLD, among others. 

They last visited the Philippines in March as part of their "[New_]" world tour.
