Aug. 13-16: MaArte Fair 2026
If you're looking to shop local, MaArte Fair 2026 is a good place to start. Now on its 17th edition, the fair returns with “Karnabal,” a whimsical theme celebrating Filipino products, artisans, designers, and craftsmanship.
The fair is happening at The Peninsula Manila in Makati from Aug. 13 to 16, with doors open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission is free, so you can browse the booths and check out Filipino-made fashion, crafts, art, and other local finds without paying an entrance fee.
The fair also serves as a fundraising event for the National Museum and its network, so your shopping trip supports a good cause, too.
Aug. 14-16: Bench x Katutubo Pop-Up Market
For more Filipino-made finds, head to the Katutubo Pop-Up Market at the Bench Tower, 30th St. cor., Rizal Drive in BGC, happening from Aug. 14 to 16, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Aug. 14-16: Philippine Readers and Writers Festival 2026
Bookworms, aspiring writers, and comics fans have plenty to look forward to at the Philippine Readers and Writers Festival 2026.
The three-day festival takes place from Aug. 14 to 16 at the National Book Store Building in Araneta City, Cubao. It features book launches, talks, workshops, author appearances, and activities celebrating books and Filipino creativity.

Parents and caregivers can spend the weekend shopping and learning at edamama's New Mama Expo 2026, happening at Megatrade Halls 2 and 3 in SM Megamall from Aug. 14 to 16.
The three-day expo runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and brings together more than 150 parenting brands, with products and deals for pregnancy, babies, and early parenthood.

Aug. 15-16: Makers Festa Class of 2026

For something more fandom-focused, ONLive Con is happening on Aug. 15 at Hall A & B of the Bayanihan Center in Pasig City. The event brings together VTuber fans, creators, cosplayers, and other members of the online community for a day of activities and fandom fun.
If you're planning to go, onsite tickets are available for P600, while supplies last. Gates open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., so attendees are encouraged to arrive early or on time. Onsite tickets will also be available on the day of the event.
