KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman announced that she will be taking a temporary break from her global girl group to focus on her health.

Talent agency and record label Hybe shared the update on the web platform Weverse.

"After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing," their statement read.

The agency highlighted that they fully support this decision, noting how KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to them.

"The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right," Hybe stated.

"Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding," they ended.

It was not specified when Manon will rejoin the group.

This isn't the first time that she has taken a break from group activities for health reasons. She previously took a step back from performing with the rest of KATSEYE at Summer Sonic in Tokyo.

“We are very sorry to share that Manon will not be able to perform at Summer Sonic Tokyo on Sunday, August 17, as her condition has declined upon landing in Tokyo,” their label told fans at the time. "She has since made the decision after consulting her doctor to rest in order to recover as soon as possible."

KATSEYE is composed of six members: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung. With members from the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States, KATSEYE is often described as a "global girl group."

They are known for their hit songs Gabriela, Gnarly, Touch, and more.
