MMDA announces updates on the May Huli Ka website
Ever caught yourself driving through Metro Manila, wondering if you accidentally ran a red light? With the No Contact Apprehension Policy in action, every driver knows that sudden fear of getting a ticket. Fortunately, checking if you have a violation is now easier and safer through the MMDA’s updated "May Huli Ka" feature.
Starting Monday, Aug. 24, driver verification options are expanding so you can easily check your status online.
If you already have an official Notice of Violation in your hands, you can simply enter your Plate Number and Ticket Number to look up the details of that specific incident.
Alternatively, if you want to see a full history of all NCAP records associated with your vehicle, you can search using your Plate Number alongside your MV File Number.
Meanwhile, the agency urged motorists to exercise extra caution, as scammers are actively sending fake NCAP text messages to steal personal information and money. They reminded that official text notifications will only come from "MMDA_NCAP" and will never contain any website links. If the text you receivedd contains a clickable link, it's a scam.
MMDA launched the "May Huli Ka" website last year and announced that motorists will receive real-time SMS and email notifications if they have any violations.
Under the NCAP, which was reimplemented last May 26, 2025, an MMDA operator at the command center reviews and confirms footage when a traffic violation is committed. The operator then checks the vehicle's registration details. Once verified, the operator inputs the violation into the NCAP system, which automatically generates and delivers a notice of violation to the motorist's registered address.
NCAP fines may be paid online via the Landbank portal or in person at the MMDA Redemption Office in Pasig. If the fine remains unpaid, the vehicle's license plate will be added to the Land Transportation Office's alarm list.
The NCAP covers C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, and radial roads Roxas Boulevard, Taft Avenue, South Superhighway, Shaw Boulevard, Ortigas Avenue, MAgsaysay Boulevard, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue, A. Bonifacio, Rizal Avenue, Del Pan, Marcos Highway, and McArthur Highway.
