Weekly horoscope: What's ahead for your zodiac sign in life and love this Aug. 10-16

One of the biggest astrological events of 2026 will arrive in the middle of the week.

According to professional astrologer Monica Morales, a powerful solar eclipse in Leo coming on Aug. 13, 1:47 a.m. (Philippine time) will "set the stage for bold new beginnings and important turning points."

"Solar eclipses occur during a New Moon, when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun," she explained to PhilSTAR L!fe. "Astrologically, eclipses are considered powerful turning points that can set longer stories in motion. Their themes may begin emerging in the weeks leading up to the eclipse and continue unfolding for months afterward, with their significance becoming clearer over time."

During this period, confidence, creativity, self-expression, romance, and leadership will take the spotlight and "invite us to step forward where we may have been holding back."

"Mercury conjunct Jupiter brings bigger ideas, conversations, and opportunities, while Mars entering Cancer reminds us to protect what matters and stay grounded in what makes us feel secure," she said, adding that love and relationships will also get their own shake-up "as Venus brings attraction, surprises, and a reminder to see situations clearly."

"There is no need to fear an eclipse or automatically expect the worst," the astrology expert noted. "Eclipses can coincide with significant beginnings, endings, and turning points, but how they unfold is different for everyone."

The best thing we can do this week, she added, is to be observant. "Notice what begins changing, which conversations become important, what unexpectedly enters or leaves the picture, and where life seems to be asking for a different approach."
