AC Bonifacio is now out of her international project, Perfect Girl, after figuring in a motorcycle accident in Thailand.

ABS-CBN News reported that the road mishap happened while the actress was on her way to a market in Bangkok on a motorcycle taxi that later slipped.

"It was a motorcycle accident, we slipped. It wasn’t anything crazy. We just slipped," she told the media outlet. "I blocked my fall with my arm. Kasi if not, it could have been worse."

She recalled trying to "get up right away," but not being able to do so due to severe pain.

"I thought I was fine, I thought I was okay, I was happy that my hand was moving. I was cautious. I was able to talk to people. I was in extreme pain. No blood, no scratches," she shared.

The freak accident left AC with a fractured humerus—a steel plate had to be inserted in her broken right arm.

Since her recovery is expected to take six weeks, she and the Perfect Girl's production team agreed to remove her from the international project entirely so she could focus on her healing.

"We’ve all decided na it’s better for me to prioritize healing. We tried every single possible way on how we can make it work,” she said. “It sucks, of course, [for] anybody who is doing their dream role. Hindi naman po 'yan na kinick-out lang ako. We had so many discussions, we tried so many different things on how it would work with my arm, but the final decision is [that] it just won't work."

In a post on X, she thanked everyone who has been sending her love since the accident. "I'm okay—both mentally and physically (but [of course] I'm human!)," she wrote, "but I will continue to work hard and I hope you can support my healing journey. Laban lang!"

In November, AC announced that she landed a role in Perfect Girl, Netflix's upcoming K-pop thriller movie, alongside KPop Demon Hunters stars Arden Cho and May Hong. The film is described as "Scream meets Black Swan" and focuses its narrative on a new K-pop super group preparing for their debut. Her replacement is still unknown as of writing.
