Want to learn a new language? UP is offering Chinese language courses this January
Learning a new language can open doors to new cultures, opportunities, and connections, and for those eager to expand their linguistic skills, the University of the Philippines is offering Chinese language courses starting this January.
According to their announcement, the Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines is now accepting participants for its Chinese Language Course that will take place from Jan. 17 to April 18 this year.
While the course is free for UP students, faculty, staff, officials, and alumni, non-UP participants are required to pay a fee of P3,800 per course.
Below are the class offerings and their schedule:
- Online Beginner Zero (HSK 1) - Saturdays | 9:00–11:00 a.m. | Mr. Liu Jun
- Online Beginner (HSK 2) - Saturdays | 9:00–11:00 a.m. | Mr. Wu Xingyu
- Online Intermediate (HSK 3) - Saturdays | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 noon | Mr. Gao Bo (For applicants with HSK 2 level)
- Online Advanced (HSK 5) - Saturdays | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 noon | Mr. Zhang Zeyao (For applicants with HSK 4 level)
- Face-to-Face Class (HSK 1–2) - Saturdays | 3:00–5:00 PM | Ms. Ding Feng (Balay Kalinaw, UP Diliman)
Those who will be paying in cash must proceed to the Confucius Institute office for the statement of account before paying at the UP Diliman Cash Office.
You can also pay through GCash by scanning the QR code on the poster to complete payment.
