Cause of death revealed for teenage girl found in d4vd's car
The cause of death of the teenage girl whose rotting body was found in d4vd's car has been revealed.
As reported by ABC, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's report released on Wednesday, April 22 showed that Celeste Rivas Hernandez died of "multiple penetrating injuries caused by object(s)" and was ruled a homicide.
"After several months, I am grateful this information can now be released, not only to the public, but also to the grieving family enduring loss," said Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Odey Ukpo. "It is unfathomable they have had to wait this long to learn what happened to their daughter."
According to the report, Hernandez's stab wounds were found on her left chest and on her right abdomen, with an injury to her liver.
Investigators also said her body was found dismembered into several parts and was in an "advanced state of decomposition" and dismembered into several parts.
Multiple fragments of blue plastic mateial where also found in rhe the cut surfaces, pointing to a plastic knife or device.
Her body likewise showed presumptive positives for benzodiazepines and methamphetamine/MDMA.
The report, however, found no connection between the evidence and the singer.
This came after d4vd's arrest last Friday, April 17, for murder. He is currently detained under the Los Angeles Police Department's custody without bail.
He pleaded not guilty through his lawyers on his arraignment three days later.
Eerie connections
Hernandez was first reported missing on April 15, 2024 in Lake Elsinore, California.
On Sept. 8 last year, her rotting body was found wrapped in plastic in the front trunk of the singer’s Tesla. The vehicle was at a Hollywood impound lot.
Hernandez’s body was discovered when a call was placed to the police regarding foul odors coming from the abandoned car in Hollywood Hills. Investigators later revealed it had been in the tow yard for several days before the odors were reported.
Since the discovery of her body, connections between her and d4vd have cropped up.
New York Post reported that in 2023, fan chatrooms were abuzz with rumors about d4vd dating a teenage girl named Celeste. Social media users also said that around the same time, D4vd made a track, unreleased, that includes a mention of the name “Celeste” twice.
According to TMZ, Hernandez’s mother said that before her daughter went missing, the teen had been dating a man named David.
Another connection is a tattoo that reads “Shhh”—both Hernandez and d4vd have it on their right index fingers.
D4vd, whose hit Romantic Homicide was released in 2022, was in the middle of his US tour for his first album Withered when Hernandez’s body was found.
