A sequel to 'Hogwarts Legacy' confirmed to be in the works
Good news for you, gamers and Potterheads! A second installment of the video game Hogwarts Legacy has officially been confirmed.
Warner Bros. Discovery revealed that another Hogwarts Legacy game is in the works through its second-quarter 2026 letter to shareholders, where it outlined its future gaming lineup.
"Games remains an important growth lever as we work toward our long-term Studios segment goals," it wrote, sharing that it released LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which it called the "highest-rated LEGO game ever," and Game of Thrones: Dragonfire during the second quarter, before revealing plans for a second installment of Hogwarts Legacy.
“We expect Games to more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward as our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy,” it said.
More details about the game's story, its title, release date, or platforms have yet to be announced.
Released in 2023, Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the wizarding world originally brought to life in the Harry Potter books. Set in the 1800s, players will get to experience being a student at Hogwarts, featuring iconic and unexplored locations, encountering magical creatures, personalizing their character, brewing potions, mastering spells, enhancing abilities, and shaping the witch or wizard they aspire to become.
It is available on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop, and on e-shopping platforms like Shopee via official stores of DataBlitz, Game One PH, and GameXtreme.
