LIST: Cinemalaya 2026 films, ticket prices, and bundles

The Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival has announced the ticket prices and bundles for its 22nd edition.

The festival runs from Aug. 6 to 18 under the theme "Cinemalaya 22: Reel Reflections," with screenings at Red Carpet Cinemas in Shangri-La Plaza, Gateway Cineplex 18, and Ayala Malls Cinemas.

It will feature nine full-length films and 10 short films from emerging and established Filipino filmmakers.

Regular tickets are priced at P350, while students can watch for P250. A 20% discount is available for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, national coaches, and national athletes.

Moviegoers can also take advantage of Budget Saver Midweek Deals, including P70 off when watching two films in one day, a Barka Deal that gives one free ticket for every four paid tickets to the same screening, and a free popcorn-and-drink upgrade for every ticket purchased at Red Carpet Cinemas in Shangri-La Plaza.

The competing feature films include:

• 2 Valid IDs – A social drama starring Pokwang, Meryll Soriano, Joey Marquez, and Zaijian Jaranilla about a poor farmer whose struggle to claim a remittance without two valid IDs pushes her morals and beliefs to the limit.
• Hand of God – A sports drama led by Ruru Madrid and Iza Calzado, alongside Ronnie Lazaro and Sue Ramirez, following a child soldier who discovers hope through football while navigating life in a conflict-ridden community.
• Mag-iina – A horror film featuring Janine Gutierrez, Cherry Pie Picache, Agot Isidro, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Bart Guingona, centering on a woman who returns to her ancestral home where generations of women are haunted by grief and an ancient evil.
• A.ni.mál– A black comedy about a mayor's daughter who returns home with a disturbing video exposing the abuse committed by a powerful family friend.
• Ganggang – A social satire that follows three boys searching for a champion fighting spider to challenge their school bully, testing their friendship along the way.
• Kaka sa Yawan – A coming-of-age drama about the enduring friendship between a Manila boy and a Tadyawan-Mangyan child, with Nikki Valdez, Luis Alandy, and Karl Medina among its cast.
• Status: Rejected – A family comedy starring Ruby Ruiz and Alessandra de Rossi about a grandmother who finds herself caught in an online romance while chasing a better life.
• Tayo Lang ang Nakakaalam – A romance drama featuring Martin del Rosario, Miguel Odron, Yayo Aguila, and Epy Quizon, following a man whose long-hidden love complicates his place within a family that once accepted him.
• Tirik – A thriller starring Rocco Nacino and Chai Fonacier about a priest and a taxi driver forced to confront their moral dilemmas while escaping an assassination attempt.

Meanwhile, the short film competition consists of Elenita Elena Elaine; Honey, My Love, So Sweet; Hoy, Hoy, Ingat!; Kung Paano Kakalas; Para-Paraan; Runo!; Silkscreen; Sorbetes; The Keeper; andThe River Flows in Different Places.

These promotions are available only for onsite ticket purchases at Red Carpet Cinemas and Gateway Cineplex 18.
