The May-December Affair bazaar is where you'll want to spend your weekends

While there is nothing wrong with a quiet weekend at home or a quick mall run, it’s easy to spend our free time on autopilot. Sometimes, we need to be immersed somewhere we can actually slow down and engage with our surroundings.

This May, a new bazaar is launching in the heart of Makati, transforming San Lorenzo Village into a modern marketplace.

MAY-DECEMBER AFFAIR: A Community Love Affair to Remember is an experiential event designed to change the pace of your typical weekend.

Most bazaars are just rows of stalls and the occasional performance, but this event is different. It’s an elevated, curated experience designed with the community in mind. 

There will be four distinct zones to ensure there is something for everyone.

The Retail Marketplace features a mix of curated fashion, beauty, and artisan home goods, while the Food & Beverage Showcase offers a selection of both local and international specialties.

For those looking to recharge, the Wellness & Indulgence area focuses on products that promote longevity and a balanced lifestyle.

And finally, the Social Lounge has a dedicated area for all-day recreation and relaxation.

Beyond the shopping, the mission of this project is to provide a bigger stage for local businesses and creators. By bringing these brands into a communal, social setting, the event endeavors to strengthen the bond between entrepreneurs and the community they serve. It is a weekend designed not just for consumption, but for connection and the discovery of brands that prioritize quality and craftsmanship.

The first MAY-DECEMBER AFFAIR will be on May 16 to 17 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Covered Court & Outdoor Plaza of San Lorenzo Village in Makati City.

Admission is free and it is open even to non-residents. Guests are welcome to enter through the Makati Avenue or Amorsolo gates.
