Din Tai Fung serves up special salted egg dishes for Lunar New Year, meatless options for Lent
The Year of the Horse is well underway, but the celebration is far from over.
Din Tai Fung has recently added special dishes not only to mark the Lunar New Year, but also to provide thoughtful, flavorful options for those observing Lent.
Starting Feb. 12, the Taiwanese restaurant chain introduced its "Golden Prosperity Menu," a selection of Salted Egg Yolk dishes that blend sweet and savory flavors in each bite.
Diners can try three exclusive dishes: Salted egg yolk lobster tail, salted egg yolk pork ribs (P560), and salted egg yolk tofu (P300). Each crispy item is coated in the rich, velvety egg yolk.
Apart from the Lunar New Year feast, Din Tai Fung also offers a new seafood dish for those seeking meatless plates this Lent. The Shrimp Chop Fried Rice (P405) brings comfort and crunch with every bite. On top of the classic fried rice are crispy fried shrimp chops, which are made with finely minced shrimp and vegetables wrapped in a beancurd skin.
These festive dishes are available for a limited time only. You can order the items until April 5 across all Din Tai Fung restaurants for dine-in, take-out, and delivery. Do note that the salted egg yolk lobster tail is a dine-in exclusive, so visit your favorite branch to try it out.
Din Tai Fung, which is known for its xiaolongbao, has restaurants in SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, Uptown BGC, Alabang Town Center, SM City Cebu, SM City Clark, Bonifacio Global City, Power Plant Mall, SM Megamall, and Greenbelt.
