From immersive concerts and indie gigs to food discoveries and creative spaces, here are eight events happening this April 17 to 19 that are worth adding to your plans.

April 17 to 26: TWS VR Concert: RUSH ROAD

K-pop fans, this one’s for you. TWS is bringing a fully immersive VR concert experience to Manila, exclusively at Gateway Cineplex.

“RUSH ROAD” is the group’s first VR concert, offering a 3D viewing experience powered by advanced staging and sound design. The show takes audiences through different visual worlds, from a rock festival setup to cinematic scenes like sunset rooftops and aurora skies. Fans can catch performances of tracks like plot twist, OVERDRIVE, and Oh Mymy: 7s, all designed to feel up close and interactive.

Tickets are priced at P1,000 for weekday screenings and P1,200 for weekends. They are available via TicketNet.

April 17 to 19: Komiket Makati

If you’re looking for something more laid-back and creative, Komiket Makati offers a breezy escape into Filipino komiks culture at Ayala Malls Circuit Makati from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The three-day art market gathers local creators, illustrators, and indie publishers in one space. Expect zines, art prints, stickers, and collectibles, along with opportunities to meet artists and get your copies signed. Attendees can also claim or use their Komiket Rewards card for exclusive perks.

April 17 to 19: 18th Philippine Food Expo

Food lovers can head to the World Trade Center Manila from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the 18th Philippine Food Expo.

The three-day event brings together hundreds of food businesses, chefs, and entrepreneurs from across the country. For just a P150 entrance fee, visitors can explore cooking demos, culinary competitions, seminars, and networking opportunities within the food industry.

Pre-registration for the event has already closed, but walk-in registration is available onsite. Students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities can enter for P120. Guests with complimentary invitations may enter for free upon presentation.

April 17 to 19: ROUND Village

For a mix of culture, fandom, and performances, head to ROUND Village at Gateway Mall 2, specifically at the Quantum Skyview area, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is part of the ASEAN Korea Music Festival and features interactive booths, cultural showcases, workshops, raffles, and fanbase takeovers. Highlights include an ASEAN Quiz Bee on day one, a Baybayin workshop on day two, and a K-beauty showcase on day three.

P-pop groups like BILIB, NEW:ID, VIVID, TALAHIB, and 6ENSE are also set to perform, with opening ceremony stages kicking off early in the run. The event is open to all.

April 18: Good Game Con!

Gamers, audiophiles, and anime fans can spend their Saturday at Sequoia Hotel for Good Game Con!, running from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event offers hands-on access to gaming setups, sim racing rigs, and high-end audio gear like IEMs and headphones. There will also be cosplay appearances, stage activities, giveaways, and booths featuring tech and collectibles.

Walk-in tickets are priced at P900, subject to availability, while pre-registered attendees can enter by presenting their confirmation and a valid ID. Note that outside food and drinks are not allowed, but there will be food booths inside.

April 18: Minsan Gig sa Skydome

If live music is more your speed, head to SM North EDSA Skydome from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a lineup of OPM artists including Syd Hartha, TONEEJAY, Tanya Markova, Johnoy Danao, and more.

The Minsan Gig encourages a relaxed concert setup. Attendees are allowed to bring cameras, step in and out of the venue, and even bring food for personal consumption.

There are designated standing and seating areas, so you can choose how you want to enjoy the show.

April 10 to 19: Control + Shift: Changing Narratives StudioLab

For something more reflective, catch “Control + Shift: Changing Narratives StudioLab” at the PETA Studio Theater, now on its final weekend.

Running until April 19, the production features two sets of performances tackling themes of power, care, and survival. Set A includes “Cleaners” and “Monit-Oh! Monit-Ah!,” while Set B features “At Nagkatawang-Tao Ang Verbo” and “Baga ng Gumuguhong Langit.”

Tickets start at P700 via Ticket2Me, with audiences getting to watch two shows for the price of one.

Until April 19: A Kaleidoscope World: True Colors 2026 Art Exhibition

For a quieter but meaningful stop, visit “A Kaleidoscope World: True Colors 2026” at Gateway Mall 1, located inside Gateway Cineplex 18.

The exhibit features more than 30 artworks created by children on the autism spectrum, highlighting their creativity, individuality, and personal stories. Anchored on the theme “Autism and Humanity–Every Life Has Value,” the exhibition promotes inclusion and appreciation of neurodiverse talents.

The exhibit runs until April 19 and is open to the public.
