This gas station offers P5 rollback on fuel prices at select branches
Independent petroleum brand Petro Gazz announced its P5 price drop per liter on gas and diesel prices at select gas stations in Metro Manila.
In a statement, Petro Gazz said that it's their small way of helping the public amid consecutive double-digit price hikes in the past weeks.
“Petro Gazz management understands the challenges many families are facing today,” it said. "This is our small but sincere way of helping ease the burden on the Filipino people amid the global situation affecting fuel costs,” it added.
It announced it will roll back diesel and gasoline prices by P5 per liter starting Friday, March 20, at the following stations:
- Mindanao Ave, Quezon City
- West service road, Parañaque
- Moonwalk, Parañaque
- Barangka, Mandaluyong
- Llano Caloocan
- Fortune Valenzuela
"We are one with the Filipinos, to help ease the situation of high fuel prices," the company said, per ABS-CBN News. It added that selected stations nationwide will join the rollback next week.
Petro Gazz started in 2012 as a distributor of imported fuel in Subic, Zambales, before venturing into fuel retailing in 2015.
Based on four days of trading on the Mean of Platts Singapore, The Philippine STAR learned from an industry source that another double-digit price hike in diesel prices is expected next week, estimated at P14 to P14.50 per liter.
This can drive fuel prices up to the P130-per-liter mark, after already climbing by more than P20 per liter this week.
Gasoline prices, on the other hand, are expected to increase by P7 to P7.50 per liter, possibly exceeding P100 per liter next week.
Oil prices continue to climb amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East due to the US-Iran conflict.
