Alex Eala is ready to wield her racket again as she is set to compete at the 2025 MGM Macau Tennis Masters in late December.

In an announcement by the invitational tournament, Eala is among the players who will battle it out for the top honors at the Macao Forum on Dec. 27 to 28.

The Filipino tennis star is in for a fierce competition, as the lineup includes Grand Slam champions Na Li of China and Conchita Martinez of Spain.

Also in the competition are WTA world no. 9 Mirra Andreeva as well as ATP players such as world No. 4 Jack Draper, world no. 16 Jakub Mensik, and world no. 47 Juncheng Shang.

"I'm so excited to be part of the MGM Macau Tennis Masters this December," Eala said in a promotional video.

Eala recently ended her 2025 season by entering the WTA Top 50 and is currently taking a break from the court.

She made history in her stellar WTA 1000 Miami campaign, lifting her to the Top 100 at 75th, which later rose to 51st.

She won her first-round battle at the US Open, followed by a breakthrough championship at the WTA 125 Guadalajara Open.

Before the MGM Macau Tennis Masters, her next possible match is in December’s SEA Games in Thailand, having previously competed in the 2021 SEA Games and 2022 Asian Games.
