According to Resti Santiago a.k.a. Filipino Astrologer, Sagittarius is poised to be the luckiest sign in the coming year “as its ruler, Jupiter, moves from strength to strength throughout 2026.”
“Fittingly, Jupiter is the namesake of the word ‘jovial,’ and its transit this year promises plenty of reason for cheer,” he told PhilSTAR L!fe.
Santiago said that the first half of the year will be all about emotional foundation for Sags. “During the first six months, Jupiter remains strongly positioned in Cancer, its sign of exaltation. Because Cancer governs family, emotions, and introspection, this placement offers Sagittarians a rare opportunity to feel both deeply grounded and internally motivated,” he explained, calling it a “period for strengthening roots and finding clarity through self-reflection.”
The second half of the year, he added, will be about expansion and adventure. “In the latter half of 2026, the energy shifts significantly. Jupiter moves into a fiery, active sign, forming harmony with Sagittarius.”
Per the astrology expert, such celestial alignment opens the floodgates for Sags for social connection, which would mean a surge in new friendships and networking; adventure, which would mean increased opportunities for travel and exploration; and personal growth, which would mean a natural momentum toward expanding one's horizons.

According to Santiago, next to Sagittarius in terms of luck in 2026 are Gemini, Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
Gemini is expected to become more adaptable, while Scorpio will focus on learning and travel. New beginnings and continuity are in store for Cancer, more knowledge for Aquarius, and grounding for Libra.
Challenged signs in 2026
Santiago told L!fe that the most challenged signs next year may be Aries, Taurus, Leo, Virgo, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Aries would need more focus, while Taurus would need to reassess their priorities. Leo would have to learn humility and become more open to learning from others, while Virgo would need to go for new strategies in solving problems.
Health must be a top priority for Capricorn, the astrologer noted. Pisces might also need to consider reinventing themselves next year.
