Cebu Pacific says jet fuel supply sufficient until June
Cebu Pacific has assured passengers that it has enough jet fuel supply to continue operations.
In a statement on March 29, the budget carrier said that it "has secured sufficient jet fuel to support all scheduled domestic and international flights until June 2026."
"CEB is working closely with suppliers and industry partners to ensure continued fuel availability in the months ahead and will continue to take proactive measures to maintain stable and sustainable operations," it said.
This comes four days after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said in an interview with Bloomberg that some planes in the Philippines may have to be grounded if the cost of fuel continues to soar.
Following this, Philippine Airlines has since announced that it has enough jet fuel supply for the "foreseeable future."
Cebu Pacific earlier announced that it will make temporary network adjustments, including frequency reductions and flight cancellations amid the Middle East crisis.
Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines spokesperson Eric Apolonio told DZBB in an interview on Sunday that the airports have enough diesel fuel reserves in case of power interruptions.
"Lahat naka-ready 'yan just in case magkaroon ng power failure dun sa supplier namin sa labas," he said.
