Weekend Hangs: BTS' exclusive experience, fun run, cosplay fest, and more events to check out this May 1 to 3

May is just around the corner! How do you like to welcome a new month?

This weekend, a variety of events are lined up—from a special BTS gathering for ARMY, a fun run, cosplay events, and heritage fashion showcases, to more activities that can help you kick-start the month.

If you're looking to make the most of the long weekend, here are some events you can check out:

May 1 to 3: Spotify x BTS Swimside 

Joining BTS' Swim fever? There will be an exclusive experience for ARMY at the Glorietta Activity Center from May 1 to 3.

To join, Spotify Premium users must pre-register for tickets via this link. Once successful, line up on D-Day and be ready with your valid government-issued IDs, proof of a Spotify Premium account, and the saved "This is BTS" playlist for verification. 

Pre-registered participants are encouraged to line up at least one hour before the chosen timeslot, as it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be no guaranteed slots for latecomers.

The experience takes about one hour and 30 minutes; walk-ins and re-entry are prohibited. Learn more about it here.

May 2: Tampok Festival

If you're visiting Intramuros this weekend, check out the Tampok Festival on May 2, 4 p.m. at Centro de Turismo. Enjoy a lineup of stage performances by local artists that tackle stories of connection, struggle, and the human experience through thought-provoking plays.

The event is open to the public and entry is free.

May 2: 8KM Labor Day Tribute Run

Want to join a fun run for a cause? Join the 8KM Labor Day Tribute Run on May 2—an event dedicated to the hardworking labor force. 

To join, simply run, jog, or walk wearing a green shirt anywhere you are on May 2. Be sure to record your progress using any fitness tracking app.

The registration fee costs P799, inclusive of e-bib, e-certificate, official event Shirt, and recognition post. A portion of the proceeds will be used for appreciation tokens for selected workers.

May 2 to 3: Ozine Fest

Attention, cosplay fans! Ozine Fest Summer is happening this coming May 2 to 3 at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall.

Some things you can expect at the event are an anime singing contest, a battle of the bands, a cosplay competition, an anime art contest, and more. There will also be a special meet and greet with featured cosplayers in the Cosplay Alley.

Tickets are priced at P260. 

May 3: Kalye Estilo Street Fashion

Eyes here, fashion aficionados! Check out Kalye Estilo: Street Fashion, a premier event under the Philippine Fashion Forecast Spring/Summer 2026, on May 3, 5 p.m. at Fort Santiago,

Marvel at the stunning works of local artists, showcasing their own takes on fusing heritage and modern design within the walls of Intramuros.

The event is open to the public.
