Neri Miranda addressed negative comments about her appearance in previous videos by urging people to normalize "looking human."

Miranda, who often shares her love for planting and farming on her social media accounts, posted a reel from her sunroom, which she describes as her “quiet little corner where I can just breathe,” last Nov. 4.

In the comment section, some viewers left comments pointing out Miranda’s bare, "haggard" look.

She responded to these remarks in her most recent video, where she is seen quietly planting seeds and tending her garden.

"When I woke up this morning and opened my phone, ang dami kong notifications," she said, saying that she was shocked that some commenters were concerned about her appearance.

"May nagsabi pa na, 'Ano'ng nangyari kay Neri? Ang haggard nya... tumanda itsura mo,'" she recalled.

She then said that a lot of things are going on in her personal life, but despite it, she is continuing to fight the trauma and depression.

“I was just in my sunroom kahapon, nag-gagardening. Walang make-up. Walang filter. Hindi nag-effort para sa ibang tao. Kase ‘pag nasa bahay ako, ‘yun talaga ako... just living my normal life,” she wrote.

The actress also opened up about her lifelong insecurities regarding her looks. Growing up, and even as she became an actress, she often heard hurtful remarks telling her she was not pretty enough or that it was difficult to make her look beautiful.

"Growing up, lagi kong naririnig, 'Ang pangit mo,' or 'Ang hirap mong pagandahin," she said, adding that some even said that it was hard for them to dress her up as he looked like a "probinsyana."

"And you know what? Totoo naman," Miranda said. “My face has freckles, veins, uneven nose ang lips, wala akong pilikmata at kilay, at pale talaga ang face ko."

"But this is my face. Walang botox, walang filter... only me," Miranda proudly wrote.

She admitted that it used to sting when people called her ugly, but she realized that as she grew older, it doesn't matter if she does not "look like everyone else on TV or social media."

"Because now, at 42, I've learned to love and accept this face. This body. This quiet, simple version of me."

Despite harsh comments on her appearance, Miranda firmly stated, “This is the same face that smiled through pain, the same hands that built dreams from scratch, the same woman who faced the world even when it laughed at her.”

Miranda concluded her caption with a heartwarming call to action:  “Let’s normalize seeing women without make-up. Let’s normalize looking real, looking tired, looking human. Because maybe… it’s in our most unfiltered moments that we actually look the most alive.”

Last year, estafa and violation of the securities regulation code complaints were filed against Miranda. It reportedly stemmed from her endorsement urging dozens of individuals to invest hundreds of thousands of pesos in the skincare company Dermacare.

In March this year, the Pasay City court dismissed the cases.
