Gone too soon: P-pop artist ECHO Sphere dies
P-pop group ECHO's Sphere, whose real name is Jaspher Cabangon, has died.
ECHO announced Cabangon’s death in an Instagram post on Oct. 5, asking the public to give his family, loved ones, and fellow members the privacy and space they need to grieve.
“Sphere will always be remembered for the light, warmth, and joy he brought to the people around him,” the group said. “His presence will forever remain a part of ECHO and in the hearts of everyone who came to know and love him.”
“Rest peacefully, Sphere. We love you!” ECHO added.
The cause of Cabangon’s death was not specified.
A day prior, ECHO said Cabangon was temporarily stepping away from group activities after being hospitalized. The group asked fans to respect his privacy.
Cabangon was one of the eight members of ECHO, which officially debuted in August 2026 with their single ECHO. Other members include Eoj, Aerys, Josh, Ming, James, Rhency, and Raf.
