You can stream 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' on Disney+ this July
Did you miss The Devil Wears Prada 2 in theaters? Or maybe you're just ready to watch it for the nth time? Either way, the highly anticipated sequel is officially strutting its way to Disney+.
Disney+ announced that the box office smash will be available on the streaming platform starting July 29.
After its April 29 premiere, the film took the global box office by storm, rapidly crossing the coveted $1 billion mark. It also made waves locally, securing the highest opening weekend in the Philippines so far this year with P17.2 million, according to 20th Century Studios Philippines. That performance outpaced the previous record-holder, a Super Mario Galaxy-themed film, which debuted at P12.47 million.
The original 2006 comedy classic was based on Lauren Weisberger’s New York Times bestselling novel.
The sequel follows Andy Sachs' (Anne Hathaway) return to Runway magazine as the new features editor. There, she is reunited with her former boss Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), who is struggling to keep her glossy print empire in business.
The sequel sees the return of director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, with Wendy Finerman producing, alongside executive producers Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and McKenna.
