Need to get a document notarized? You'd be pleased to know that the process has gotten easier, as electronic notarization is officially operational.

The Supreme Court announced that eNotarization is available starting Oct. 19, allowing you to have your online documents notarized in a "more convenient, accessible, and hassle-free" way.

You can avail of eNotarization by registering with the first batch of accredited eNotarization facilities: Ohelio, Inc.'s Twala; Quanby Solutions, Inc.'s QLegal; and UNAWA, Inc.'s NotarizeIT.

They offer secure digital tools, systems, applications, and other technology needed to facilitate electronic notarization.

Registration portals of the providers can be accessed through this link.

Once you've registered, you may then choose from the list of lawyers who have been commissioned as Electronic Notaries Public authorized to execute the process.

Under the 2025 Rules on Electronic Notarization, you can notarize digital documents (PDF or PDF/A) online or in person with a notary public located anywhere in the Philippines.

Simply create an account on an accredited e-notarization platform, join a physical or virtual session with the notary and required witnesses to verify your identity, and sign.

After the document has been notarized using the ENF platform, it will then be automatically transmitted to the SC's Central Notarial Database.
