Studio Ghibli immersive exhibit to open in Singapore this December
Studio Ghibli fans can step into the worlds of their favorite animated films when The Story of Studio Ghibli makes its world premiere in Singapore.
The immersive exhibition will open at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore starting Dec. 18.
The Story of Studio Ghibli will bring some of the Japanese animation studio’s most beloved films to life through large-scale sets, interactive installations, and multimedia experiences. Visitors can expect familiar settings and characters from films including My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and The Boy and the Heron.
Among the featured experiences are recreations inspired by the bathhouse in Spirited Away and the forest world of My Neighbor Totoro, allowing fans to explore environments based on scenes from the films.
The exhibition will be held at Gardens by the Bay’s West Lawn, located at 18 Marina Gardens Drive. Admission details and ticketing information are available through the exhibition’s official channels.
The upcoming exhibition gives Studio Ghibli fans plenty of time to plan a visit to Singapore and experience the studio’s iconic worlds in person.
Tickets are priced at S$49 (P2,400) for adults and S$43 (P2,100) for children and seniors during off-peak periods, while peak-period tickets cost S$55 (P2,700) for adults and S$49 (P2,400) for children and seniors. Singapore citizens and permanent residents can avail of discounted rates starting at S$39 (P1,900) for adults and S$29 (P1,400) for children and seniors.
Early-bird tickets are currently available through Klook, the exhibition’s official ticketing partner. Adult tickets purchased until Dec. 17 also come with an exclusive limited-edition souvenir, while supplies last.
The exhibition’s Dec. 18 opening will be an invitation-only VIP event, so regular visitors can start exploring the exhibition on Dec. 19.
