Claudine Barretto recovering after on-set accident

Claudine Barretto was brought to the hospital after hitting her head, back, and hips while filming a scene for action drama Totoy Bato.

In an Instagram post, the actress said the accident happened last Feb. 8.

"I hit my head, back, and hips really hard. I was rushed to Saint Luke's BGC," she wrote.

"Though I am in so much pain, your love, support, and prayers [strengthen] me," she added, thanking her supporters for their love, concern, and prayers for her healing. "Thank you and mahal ko po kayong lahat."

Barretto said she's still waiting for the release of her medical test results and will give further updates when she receives them.

The local star plays the role of Diamond Labrador in the TV series Totoy Bato, which premiered in 2025. It stars Kiko Estrada as the titular character, Bea Binene as Emerald Espejo, Diego Loyzaga as Dwayne Perez, Cindy Miranda as Amber Castillo, and Nonie Buencamino as Father Nico Monte.
