The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority is now offering courses on artificial intelligence.

TESDA announced on May 26 that AI courses are now available on their online learning platform through their partnership with UNESCO-UNEVOC and the HP Foundation.

Among the courses you can enroll in are an introduction to AI concepts, responsible AI use, and practical applications of AI in business and everyday work settings. They are available in the agency's TESDA Online Program, accessible through their website.

"As industries continue to transform through technology and innovation, it is important that Filipinos are equipped with the skills needed to remain competitive and adaptable in the future of work," TESDA Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez said.

UNESCO-UNEVOC, according to its website, is UNESCO's designated centre for technical and vocational education and training, aimed at supporting member states in strengthening and upgrading their TVET systems.

How to enroll

To enroll in a course, first create an account on the TESDA Online Program, then log in and click on the course you want to enroll in.

Afterward, just select the module you wish to take.

On the left side of the navigation pane under the administration panel, choose "Enroll me in this course."

You can access the courses via web on desktop and on your Android or iPhone via the TOP Mobile app.

Apart from AI courses, TESDA offers free courses on content creation for social media, graphic design, digital marketing, gender and development, human health, beauty care, and more.

Filipinos can enroll in the TESDA Online Program for free, and they'll get a certificate of completion upon finishing the course. They can also take a face-to-face assessment for national certification at any TESDA accreddited assessment center or venue.
