SB19—composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin—first teased about their finale show during their last concert in Perth, Australia, on Dec. 14.

In a post, they highlighted they are "excited for what the next chapter holds" as they expressed their gratitude to their fans in Perth.

"From the moment this tour began to this final stop, you stayed with us every step of the way. Performing in Perth reminded us that this journey is not just ours, it's ours together. We hope you enjoyed the special performances we prepared the same way we enjoyed them too," they wrote.

"We’re closing this chapter in Perth, but don’t blink. What comes next is closer than you think," they added.

Simula at Wakas serves as the third extended play of SB19 after Pagsibol in 2021 and Pagtatag! in 2023.

The group debuted in 2018 with their first single Tilaluha and has since become a renowned P-pop sensation, becoming the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in the Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist. It marked the first-ever appearance of a Filipino artist in the award show.
