Get to know Anna Blanco, the newly crowned Miss Charm 2025
Venezuela's Anna Blanco clinched the coveted Miss Charm 2025 title.
Blanco bested 35 other candidates from across the world during the final night on Friday, Dec. 12, held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. She now takes over the reign from last year's winner, Rashmita Rasindran of Malaysia.
The Venezuelan beauty queen and other finalists underwent a series of question-and-answer towards the crown. During the final Q&A, she and the other final five candidates were asked the question, “What can a beauty queen do to support her community beyond charity events and donations?”
Her winning answer was, "I think that nowadays, beauty queens are not just beauty queens. We are our careers, we are our histories. We are everything that comes with us.
“So, of course, charity events and donations are extremely important to encourage helping these causes that we promote. But, our unique backgrounds are what help us change the world in our own unique way.
“Me, personally, as a musician, I really hope I can encourage everybody to be more empathetic, because music is a language that unites us all. I think we can all understand each other a little better through art, music, and the sound of harmony. Thank you very much."
Her runners-up are Luisa Victoria Malz of Germany and Rinanda Aprillya Maharani of Indonesia.
Philippines' Cyrille Payumo ended her Miss Charm journey in the Top 20, but she bagged the Best in National Costume award. During the preliminaries, she donned a golden, salakot-inspired ensemble by Simeon Cayetano.
Now that Blanco is set to carry out her duties as the new Miss Charm, it's time to get to know her better.
She's relatively new to the pageantry
As seen on her Instagram feed, the 25-year-old beauty queen joined her major pageant in 2022 and won the El Concurso by Osmel Sousa 2023, paving the way for her to join major pageant titles.
In a previous interview video, she shared that her entry into the pageant world was accidental. During the pandemic, a stylist—who also owned the salon she visited—requested her photo and a singing video to submit for consideration. She later learned that she would have a meeting with a prominent figure in the pageant industry, and the rest was history.
She competed in Miss Grand International in 2024 in Thailand but was unplaced.
Blanco returned to the pageant stage the following year and competed in Miss Charm, where she emerged as the first-ever Venezuelan to win the title.
She's passionate about music
Blanco has always expressed her love for music both in interviews and pageant stage. She would perform in her TV guestings, special events, or fan requests.
She works as a model and TV host
Other than on the pageant stage, Blanco showcases her beauty and aura in fashion shows and brand shoots.
She also hosts a tourism show on local outlet Sun Channel, where she mostly talks about music and lifestyle.
