LIST: Emergency contact numbers for Pinoys in the Middle East
Tensions are high in the Middle East after Israel and the US launched strikes against Iranian targets.
Following the Feb. 28 attack, militant group Hezbollah retaliated against Israel. Tehran also struck the Gulf states Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE.
Amid the conflict, the Philippine Embassy confirmed that one Filipina died in an airstrike in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Meanwhile, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration advised OFWs in the Middle East to follow announcements from the Philippine Embassies and local authorities regarding the security situation.
