Mavy Legaspi has addressed his viral hosting moment during the grand finale of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 and apologized for his "cringe" performance.

Legaspi became the talk of the town when social media users criticized his delivery and tone onstage, with many pointing out his slow way of talking as well as his exaggerated intonations.

"Caught myself cringing realtime to this yesterday. I get that there might be no teleprompter; pero dude, if you've been hired as a host, this could have been way smoother. If the network wants to push a hosting career for this guy so badly, please, train him," one user said.

Legaspi has since gotten wind of the criticisms and apologized for his performance. However, he reasoned that there was a technical malfunction that affected his delivery.

"We experienced the worst microphone delay and could literally hear our voices echo in the venue which made it difficult to talk," he wrote on his Instagram stories.

"I would like to apologize if I sounded slow at times during our online live session on YouTube & Facebook- We did our best even if it was really difficult because of the sound delay. Thank you for being patient with us!" he added.

The actor later posted a funny picture of himself reacting to his own performance and admitted that it was indeed hard to watch.

"OMG, cringe nga! Anyway, thank you for supporting PBB Collab 2.0. It was a very successful night. Congrats, Caprice and Lella!" he captioned the photo.

The Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab 2.0 edition ended with Lella Ford and Caprice Cayetano being named as the winning duo of the season.

During the grand finale on Feb. 28 at The Crossroad Center in Quezon City, the pair won the "Big Winner" title after garnering 61.78% and 53.63%, respectively, earning them the grand prize of P1 million each.
