Dan Levy got candid about Schitt's Creek's legacy.
Returning to the streets of Goodwood, Ontario, for the first time in six years, Levy, the co-creator and star of the sitcom, admitted that being back brought the memories rushing back—including those of his iconic on-screen mom, Catherine O'Hara, who passed away in January.
"It's wild to be back," Levy told CBS Sunday Morning host Anthony Mason. "The memories are flooding back."
When asked if there will be a sequel to Schitt's Creek, Levy said, "No, not now. You can't."

Reflecting on whether a follow-up series crossed his mind before O'Hara's death, Levy admitted it had.
"Yeah, I was thinking about it," he said, tearing up. "It's tough."
“I didn’t think that I’d have quite an emotional reaction,” he admitted. "[There were] a lot of memories with Catherine."
Levy co-created and starred in Schitt’s Creek alongside his father, Eugene Levy. The cast also featured O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, and Levy’s sister, Sarah Levy.
The series had a successful six-season run beginning in 2015, sweeping multiple categories at the Emmy Awards. O'Hara's role in the show brought her an Emmy for best lead actress in 2020. She was also awarded a Golden Globe and a SAG Award.
O'Hara passed away in January due to blood clot in her lungs. Reflecting on their time together, Levy shared a heartfelt message on Instagram: “What a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O’Hara’s brilliance for all those years.”
“Having spent over 50 years collaborating with my dad, Catherine was extended family before she ever played my family. It’s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her,” he continued.
