Former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona denied claims that she and her transgender child, Sofia, are estranged, despite the latter recently sharing that they have stopped seeing each other during her transition.

The issue stemmed from a post made by Sofia on her X account, opening up about her fears of seeing her mom after coming out as a transwoman.

"'Di na po kami nagkikita ni mama. I am also scared na 'pag nakita niya na ako ngayon as a transwoman, iba 'yung reaction na ma-receive ko and ayoko na bumalik sa dark place nung lumabas 'yung issue," she wrote.

"I just want validation and acceptance. Wala nang iba. It’s honestly so sad na 'di na ko nakakapunta sa mga reunion sa mom’s side, even birthdays kase whenever pumupunta ako lagi lang akong pinag-uusapan and pinagkakaisahan," she added.

Sofia later replied to a commenter who accused her of casting Izzy in a bad light.

"Don’t misinterpret the tweet… ang sinabi ko is 'di na kami nagkikita and 'pag nakita niya ako na tranel na, natatakot ako na baka iba 'yung reception na ma-receive ko, but it doesn’t mean na 'di ako nagta-try mag-reach out," she clarified.

Following this, Izzy responded on Facebook by sharing a screenshot of a message from Sunday, Feb. 8, to prove she and Sofia are still in contact.

"Ayoko na sana i-public ito, pero ang dami nanaman lumalabas at nagco-comment even if they don’t know the truth behind," Izzy wrote in the caption.

"Palaging ganern  Dapat po 'wag ganon hehe. Pero pipilitin ko pa din intindihin ang mga people. Here is the last convo of my son and I," she added.

In their conversation, Sofia congratulated her mom after her guesting at the SexBomb Girls' "Get, Get Aw!" reunion concert last Feb. 7 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

"I'm so happy and proud of you! In spite of everything, you still sticked to what you know is right. Naiiyak lang ako na nakita ko na nasa concert ka with your friends," Sofia's message read.

Izzy replied, "Salamat anak, by His strength always. I miss you! Continue to be strong praying for you always. Mag-ingat ka palagi. I love you."

"I miss you, super! Pinagpa-pray kita palagi... I love you too!" Sofia said.

Back in 2023, Izzy had expressed disapproval of Sofia's decision to become a drag queen as it did not align with her faith. At the time, Sofia was a contestant in drag queen Viñas DeLuxe‘s Bunganga Battle Royale competition.

That time, Izzy shared that she simply wants what's "best" for her son before saying that she is "holding on to the truth that is written in the Bible, the word of God."

"So if my children, the four of them, will do something that is against the faith that I have in Christ, [then I will] disagree. I point them to Jesus because with that I will be secured with their future," Izzy wrote.

"Sino ba naman magulang ang gustong mapahamak ang anak? When your motive is to save them sa mas masakit na pwede nilang maranasan. Ang buhay na wala si Kristo. Andrei anak, I love you so much to not support you on things that will harm you. I am always here for you…your mama, mahal na mahal kita," she ended.
