Maureen Wroblewitz reveals she auditioned for lead role in 'Off Campus'
Maureen Wroblewitz nearly landed herself in one of BookTok’s most beloved romance series as she revealed that she had auditioned for the television series Off Campus.
On her TikTok account, the Asia's Next Top Model Season 5 winner delighted her followers when she posted her audition tape for the series. In the video, she could be seen delivering lines for the role of Hannah Wells, the lead character of the show.
According to her, the audition took place in February last year, and it was part of her journey to step out of her comfort zone.
"I'm contemplating being more open about this creative path. This self-tape represents a vulnerable yet exciting part of my growth as an actress," she said.
"My journey into acting has led me to explore various roles and challenges. Sharing this audition for Off Campus is a testament to that exploration. The experience of preparing and performing this self-tape has been incredibly insightful, pushing my boundaries and allowing me to connect with the character of Hannah," she added.
Maureen went on to underscore how "deeply personal" the content is for her.
"The decision to share it stems from a desire to be more open about my acting experiences. Perhaps embracing this side of my journey online is the right way forward," she said.

The role eventually went to Ella Bright, who is known for her roles in Holmes & Watson, Malory Towers, and The Crown.
In the comments section, many of her fans gave her words of encouragement as the beauty queen aims for this new creative venture.
"They're doing a bunch of book adaptations. Keep auditioning. You never know," one user said.
Another commented, "Even if you didn't get the part, I'm sure the experience was totally worth it! Your time will come, queen."
Off Campus premiered on May 13 on Amazon Prime Video. Based on the book series by Elle Kennedy, the show centers on college student Hannah Wells and hockey star Garrett Graham, who strike an unlikely deal that eventually blossoms into romance.
Apart from Ella, the series also stars Belmont Cameli, Mika Abdalla, Stephen Kalyn, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Antonio Cipriano, and Josh Heuston.
Maureen is known for being the first Filipina to win a season of Asia's Next Top Model. Afterwards, she tried her hand at beauty pageants when she joined Miss Universe Philippines in 2021 and became first runner-up, with Beatrice Luigi Gomez winning.
She eventually ventured into the world of acting, having starred in the films Runaway and Take Me to Banaue. She also appeared in several television shows, including FBI: Most Wanted.
