BINI, Liza Soberano, and H.E.R. to join the 'Forgotten Island' San Diego Comic-Con 2026 panel
Filipina artists taking over San Diego Comic-Con? Put that on your 2026 bingo card.
DreamWorks Animation announced on Friday, July 24, that Liza Soberano, H.E.R., and BINI, all of Filipino descent, will join the Forgotten Island panel on the same day at 10 a.m. Pacific Time at the Ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center.
They will be joining actor Dave Franco and filmmakers Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado to represent the animated film.
Soberano and H.E.R. play the titular characters Raissa and Jo in the movie, while BINI lent their voices to the song Parallel Worlds,which is part of the movie's original soundtrack.

Forgotten Island, set in the 1990s, revolves around Jo and Raissa who grew up in what appears to be rural Philippines. When they're about to part ways for college, they stumble upon a portal that brings them to a magical world containing all the monsters of Filipino myths.
Soberano rose to fame for playing the love interest of Enrique Gil in the 2014 TV series Forevermore as the famous LizQuen love team, eventually starring in other series and movies. After leaving her career in the Philippines, she then starred in her first Hollywood film, Lisa Frankenstein.
H.E.R., whose real name is Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, is born to a Filipina mother and a Black American Father. She has since won five Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and a Children's and Family Emmy Award.
Meanwhile, BINI is an all-Filipina girl group. It is composed of members Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Jhoanna, Maloi, Mikha, Stacey, and Sheena and has brought their chart-topping hits like Pantropiko and Salamin, Salamin to California at the Coachella 2026 stage in April.
After coming out of a "Signals" world tour kickoff in Manila and Cebu, the group is set to continue their shows in the U.S. beginning with Honolulu, Hawaii, in August.
In 2023, GMA's Voltes V Legacy became the first Philippine TV series at San Diego Comic-Con.
According to its website, the San Diego Comic-Con, or simply Comic-Con, is the "premier event for all things comics and related popular art, including movies, television, gaming, interactive multimedia."
