A beloved literary spot in Baguio is turning a new page.

Popular independent bookstore Mt. Cloud Bookshop announced on its social media pages that it will be relocating to a new address. If you're worried that they'll be leaving Baguio for good, fret not as they'll still be situated in the same city.

"So begins a new chapter. As the Year of the Fire Horse unfolds, we are moving to a new location in Baguio with the support of our community," the post read. Mt. Cloud was previously located at 1 Yangco corner Brent Road.

The management emphasized that they will be moving out with a "deeper appreciation for community as the life force of development."

"This is what we learned in this space. While we keep up with our city's changes, we stay true to Baguio, 15 years and counting," they said.

According to the bookstore, the new location will offer an even better experience for its readers.

"Our new location will have room to gather, craft, read, learn, and connect in a quieter part of the city. We’ll have more shelf space, too, which means more books!" Mt. Cloud said.

"Stay tuned in February 2026 for ways you can be part of our transition and other announcements!" they added.

Mt. Cloud Bookshop was founded by Padmapani Perez in 2010 and has since been a favorite among Baguio’s literary and creative community for its wide selection of books and regular reading activities.
