Taecyeon to marry non-showbiz girlfriend in April

2PM's Ok Taecyeon is set to marry his longtime girlfriend this April.

Korea's SPOTV News reported that the South Korean actor and his girlfriend of 10 years will be having a private ceremony in Seoul on April 24.

Following the news, a representative from his agency, 51K, told OSEN, “As the bride-to-be is a non-celebrity, we kindly ask for understanding regarding our inability to share detailed schedules.” 

Taecyeon first announced his relationship with his non-showbiz partner in 2020.

The couple first sparked engagement rumors in February 2025 when leaked pictures of the actor and a woman with a ring went viral. His agency denied this, saying "the photos were taken to commemorate his girlfriend’s birthday as an event."

Months later, Taecyeon wrote a letter to his fans announcing his engagement.

“I have promised to spend the rest of my life with someone who has believed in me for a long time. We will support each other and walk through life together,” he said.

His agency confirmed that the wedding will be held in spring, "attended only by both families, relatives, and close acquaintances."

During his acceptance speech at the 2025 KBS Drama Awards last December, the Vincenzo star gave a heartfelt shout-out to his fiancée while taking home the Excellence Award (Miniseries) for his role in Took the Man’s First Night.

“This is my first acting award, so I didn’t expect it. I’m very surprised and nervous. This project was a precious opportunity to discover a new side of my acting and reflect on myself. I will strive to become a more dedicated and improved actor,” he said, thanking his family, fans, and his 2PM co-members.

“Lastly, I want to sincerely thank my fiancée. I love you, Jihye!” he continued.
