Here's where you can access Ricky Lee's scriptwriting courses and e-books for free

A Filipino film website is giving access to National Artist for Film Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee's scriptwriting courses as well as his e-books for free.

"Gusto mo bang matuto ng scriptwriting at makakuha ng e-books mula kay National Artist Ricky Lee for FREE? Don't waste this opportunity!" Pelikulove announced in a Facebook post on Sept. 16.

"Kung baguhan ka sa pagsusulat ng kuwento o nais mong paghusayin ang iyong mga kakayahan, ito na ang pagkakataon mong matuto mula sa isa sa mga haligi ng pelikulang Pilipino," it added.

Pelikulove said the courses will also be available on YouTube soon.

Lee is a screenwriter, essayist, and fictionist.

He has written over 180 screenplays, including the critically-acclaimed Himala, Brutal, Moral, Karnal, Josè Rizal, and Anak.

His books include the scriptwriting manual Trip to Quiapo, essay collection Kulang na Silya at Iba pang Kuwentong Buhay, and novels Para kay B, Si Amapola sa 65 na Kabanata, and most recently, Kalahating Bahaghari and Kabilang sa mga Nawawala.

He won over 70 trophies from different award-giving bodies, including the Cinemanila International Film Festival, Gawad Urian, and Philippine Movie Press Club Star Awards for Television.

He was also a recipient of the University of the Philippines Gawad Plaridel, Gawad Cultural Center of the Philippines, Gawad Dangal ni Balagtas, and Apolinario Mabini Achievement Award.

Lee was conferred the National Artist title in 2022.
