Time for some Disney magic at sea!

Disney Imagination has been announced as the first Disney cruise ship to set sail from Japan.

According to The Walt Disney Company, the inaugural ship from Disney Cruise Line Japan is scheduled to board passengers in spring 2029. It will be "powered by the creativity and optimism of imagination, which has always been at the heart of Disney storytelling, to bring magical cruise vacations to families in Japan for the first time."

The fifth Wish-class ship will feature The Little Mermaid's Ariel. Joining the iconic Disney character are Sebastian and her other underwater friends. As a "playful tribute" to Ariel's "curiosity, creativity, and adventurous spirit," they will use a dinglehopper to draw the ship's name.

Guests can look forward to a theater that can welcome more than 1,300 guests, outdoor-deck shows, character greetings, around 30 themed dining and beverage venues, exclusive merchandise shops, children’s programs, and adults-only relaxation areas.

Further details about the cruise ship, such as onboard experiences and future itineraries, will be unveiled soon.
