Cafe Ysabel, one of Manila’s oldest restaurants, is bidding farewell to its longtime home on M. Paterno Street in San Juan City.
The heritage restaurant announced that its M. Paterno branch will serve its last guests on July 23, inviting patrons to dine one final time before they move to a new location.
"As one of Manila's oldest restaurants, serving guests since 1982, we invite you to dine with us one last time before we close this chapter and start a new one," the restaurant wrote in a social media post.
"This is not goodbye, but the beginning of a new chapter," they added.
The restaurant did not specify where it would relocate or when it plans to reopen. It also did not share the reason behind the move.
Since opening in 1982, Cafe Ysabel has become a fixture in Metro Manila's dining scene, known for its heritage-inspired ambiance and Filipino-European cuisine.
The restaurant has also become a popular venue for weddings, family celebrations, reunions, and other special occasions.
