Here's how to vote for the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards

Anime’s biggest night is marking a major milestone this year, and fans are at the center again.

Fans from across the globe are called to join an international panel of judges to cast their votes across a diverse range of categories for Crunchyroll's 2026 Anime Awards happening on May 23.

This year will be the 10th anniversary of the largest worldwide recognition of excellence in Japanese animation.

How to vote

Voting is open and runs until April 15, with fans allowed to cast votes daily through the official Anime Awards website, Crunchyroll, and through MyAnimeList.

Crunchyroll

To vote on the Crunchyroll website, one must enter their email or phone number.

Voters can select their picks across 24 categories and click "Vote." The website includes a progress bar to help users keep track of their completed votes.

MyAnimeList

Anime lovers can also cast their votes via the MyAnimeList website using their MAL account.

After logging in, fans can see the list of nominees and pick their chosen anime in one page.

Winners will be revealed during the live ceremony on May 23 in Tokyo, streaming at 5 p.m. Philippine time, following a pre-show at 4 p.m.

Global stars and anime icons unite as presenters

The 2026 Anime Awards will feature a wide-ranging list of presenters from film, music, gaming, and internet culture, reflecting anime’s expanding global reach. 
 
Among the first wave of presenters are Rashmika Mandanna, Asuka Saito, Winston Duke, Enako, RZA, and Nyvi Estephan. They will be joined by creators and entertainers like DANNA, hannah bahng, and viral cosplay personality Snitchery.

Voice actress Sally Amaki and Japanese personality Jon Kabira will host the ceremony, with Hiroki Totoki, CEO of Sony Group Corporation, delivering opening remarks. 

Additionally, the awards show is marking its 10th anniversary with a bang thanks to high-profile musical tributes tied to iconic anime moments from DEAN FUJIOKA, who will perform History Maker, the theme from Yuri!!! on ICE, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, who will perform Haruka Kanata, a beloved opening from Naruto, and Yoko Takahashi, who will headline a special tribute to Neon Genesis Evangelion.
 
The performances will be accompanied by orchestral arrangements from the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
