Traveling for the holidays? Here's some good news: The Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) is making some of its roads toll-free on Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Toll fees will be waived on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), NLEX Connector, Subic-Clark-TArlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), and Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) on Dec. 24, 10 p.m. to Dec. 25, 6 a.m. and Dec. 31, 10 p.m. to Jan. 1, 6 a.m.

Motorists of Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles may benefit from the toll-free exits.

On Dec. 20, San Miguel Corporation announced that it would also waive toll fees on select hours on Christmas and New Year.

Toll-free exits can be expected on the Skyway System, NAIA Expressway (NAIAX) South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), STAR Tollway, and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) from 10 p.m. on Dec. 24, until 6 a.m. on Dec. 25, and from 10 p.m. on Dec. 31, until 6 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) earlier issued a notice on the number coding suspension on Dec. 24, 25, 30, 31, and Jan. 1.
