If you're one of those who've been all over the trending Charmera Keychain Camera, you'd be pleased to know that there's another mini camera entering the scene.

Meet the "SnapRoll," a new digital camera by Japanese camera brand Escura that's designed to replicate the effects of 135 film at a 1:1 scale.

Before you add this item to your wishlist, here's what you need to know about the gadget.

What are its features?

The SnapRoll supports both photo taking and video recording. It is a lightweight device that weighs just 22 grams and boasts only a 1.3-inch display.

It's capable of shooting with a 1:1 analog film effect that makes each shutter click feel like a revival of distant memories. The camera features four lens designs and simulates a 135 film frame, making each photo radiate a unique retro charm.

It not only captures beautiful moments but also records short videos.

With such a tiny design, you may be wondering how you're going to see the content you've taken on a bigger screen. According to Escura, you can transfer photos and videos to other devices via the included USB-C cable, making it easy to move your memories and share them in a snap.

Take note, however, that a micro SD card is not included in the package. Should you insert one, it can hold up to 64GB of photos and videos.

Specs-wise, photos come with a 1440 x 1440 resolution, while videos are in 720 x 720 at 30 fps.

What's even better is that you don't have to dispose of the camera when it runs out of power, as it is rechargeable with a 180mAh battery.

Where to get it

What makes the SnapRoll camera fun is that it is sold in blind boxes, adding an element of surprise and fun. It has six unique designs mimicking classic film styles, including one secret edition that is a definite must-have.

Every single box contains a random style of the camera, and you will not know which one you get until you open it.

The mystery version features a transparent shell, combining Escura's classic "Showa" film design, and is equipped with a lens that mimics the "Showa" film style, giving you a glimpse into the camera's internal structure.

According to Escura, the chance of drawing the mystery version is 1 in 36.

You can purchase the SnapRoll camera through Henry's Cameras' website for P2,900. Each blind box contains one SnapRoll keychain digital camera, a USB-C charging data cable, and keychain accessories.
