South Korean actor Jung Eun-woo passes away
South Korean actor Jung Eun-woo has passed away at the age of 40.
Local media outlet Star News reported that Eun-woo had died on the morning of Feb. 11, but the exact cause of his death has not been detailed.
Prior to his death, the actor made a post on his Instagram account where he shared pictures of Chinese star Jang Kook-young and British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse.
"Miss you, envious, regrettable," his translated caption read.
This left many fans concerned as Kook-young died in 2003 after jumping from a hotel in Hong Kong, while Winehouse also passed away from accidental alcohol poisoning in 2011.
One social media user said, "I can't believe this... May the soul of the departed rest in peace.. My heart hurts."
Eun-woo's first acting role was in the anthology television series Drama City, which ran from 1984 to 2008. He ventured into other acting roles including The Slave Hunters, Stranger, Welcome to Waikiki 2, and Bride of the Sun.
