Bonifacio Global City is now “actively coordinating” with the Land Transportation Office to "enforce appropriate apprehensions" toward the violating motorist and social media influencer, who was seen intentionally entering the opposite direction of a one-way street in a viral video.

In a statement sent to PhilSTAR L!fe, the management said it’s aware of the incident that took place early Sept. 23 along 7th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street.

According to BGC, the reckless driver came from 28th Street and turned left at 7th Avenue, a one-way street, where he was "flagged down by a BGC Marshal."

The content creator who was behind the wheel has been issued an ordinance violation ticket as of Oct. 6. “BGC’s estate security team is also actively coordinating with the Land Transportation Office to enforce appropriate apprehensions toward the violating motorist,” the management added.

Noting its commitment to the safety and well-being of its residents and visitors, BGC said it will continue to closely monitor and coordinate with local authorities “to reach a swift resolution” as it vowed to “remain stringent in observing traffic rules and regulations to ensure such issues do not occur again within its grounds.”

This comes after a video of a social media personality went viral and drew flak from Internet users as he was seen allegedly violating traffic rules.

In the clip, he was seen recklessly driving as his companions inside the vehicle were telling him that he was driving the wrong way. "Pwede bang kumaliwa diyan?" his companion asked as they entered 7th Avenue. To which, he said, "Pwede. Basta ako, pwede."

He went ahead and later got apprehended by a traffic enforcer. The group claimed they were "lost" and were simply following directions from a navigation and live traffic app, which led them to the wrong way.
