Hey Pie People, Toyo Eatery join forces for special one-night-only feast
Attention, foodies: Hey Pie People and Toyo Eatery are teaming up for a collaborative event that will run for one night only.
The sought-after Filipino restaurant unveiled details on its special tie-up with the in-demand dessert shop on Friday, Sept. 13.
In an Instagram post, Toyo Eatery said guests can expect “to feast on a lot of different pies” that they have been working on—on top of “a few other surprises”—during the upcoming affair dubbed Hoy! Pie People Special, which will run only on Sept. 21.
The announcement comes a day after Hey Pie People founder Raeanne Young-Sagan teased that they’re working with “one of the best restaurants in the world and the best in the Philippines.”
According to Young-Sagan, the pies will include a mix of “familiar flavors” as well as ones “you’ve never seen before.” They will also feature ingredients she has never worked with in the past.
“There’s going to be bites. There’s going to be drinks. Yeah, it’s a pie party!” she teased.
The special feast costs P5,500 (inclusive of VAT and service charge) per head. Food allergies and dietary restrictions will not be accommodated.
If interested, you may email Toyo Eatery at may@toyoeatery.com for inquiries and reservations. Note that messages and calls that will be coursed through their social media pages will not be entertained.
Hey Pie People is a much-loved dessert brand with unique pie flavors that have been selling like hotcakes online. Top favorites include the Black Sesame Banana Cream Pie, Lengua Mushroom Pie, and Chicken and Pork Floss Pie.
Toyo Eatery has been consistently part of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for years, earning a spot in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024. It landed 24th in this year’s ranking. The restaurant is loved for its tasting menus that feature elements of Philippine language and heritage, which are made more exciting with plays on flavor and texture. Among its signature dishes are gourmet pork barbecue skewers and a salad referencing Bahay Kubo.
