A lovely couple’s engagement shots are now going viral online for their creativity and uniqueness.

Instead of going for the usual grand photo shoot, Kathleen Javier, 26, and Nikko Panollera, 27, followed a different route by recreating posters of their favorite local and international films.

It was the idea of their photographer Tophee Marquez to come up with their own version of the official movie photos, which they immediately loved. “We sent the posters to the photographer and he decided with us on which ones to remake,” Kathleen told PhilSTAR L!FE. “I believe that he only color-graded them and added texts and titles to each.”

The session wasn’t overall an easy feat, she admitted. “It was kind of hard because we had to  follow a specific pose for each photo. We also needed to change clothes from time to time, plus, it was so windy that day!” she recalled with a laugh. “But it was more enjoyable than hard.”

The two, who have been together for six years, got engaged on Dec. 5, 2019 on Kathleen’s 25th birthday. “Nikko made it look like a regular party. He kneeled down and offered to help me wear the shoes he gave me, where he, to my surprise, hid the engagement ring,” she mused. “Tears started falling from my eyes and I immediately looked for my mother to get her blessing. Then, I said yes.”

Kathleen and Nikko are getting married on Jan. 23.
