LOOK: Miss Universe Philippines reveals a new crown
The Miss Universe Philippines Organization has revealed the crown for its 2022 winner this coming April 30.
On Tuesday, April 19, the MUPH Organization presented the anticipated headpiece, the "La Mer en Majesté Crown," during the Gala Night held at Hilton Manila.
The crown was created by Jewelmer, a luxury brand known for its finest golden South Sea Pearls.
"There is a mysterious fascination with the sea’s waves and its continuous ebb and flow, perpetually radiating infinite power and magnificent generosity," MUPH wrote in a caption.
"Through meaningful discoveries and explorations of her vibrant splendor, we have learned from the sea’s enchanting depths.
"And over time, the sea reveals her secrets. She gifts us with something phenomenal, something uniquely beautiful: The National Gem of the Philippines, the golden South Sea pearl—a radiant symbol of the harmonious relationship between man and nature, capturing the very spirit of the Filipinos."
The design concept is inspired by the sea, "for she is the queen of the elements."
"Generous and powerful, she provided the world with this precious gem and contributed the crowned jewel to this exceptional masterpiece, the illustrious Miss Universe Philippines Crown.

The 3rd Miss Universe Philippines coronation night will be on April 30 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. It will be hosted by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, and Miss Universe 2017 Demi Leigh Nel-Peters.
Reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu will also be gracing the event.
