We’re one step closer to finding out who will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Israel in December. And no one is more excited than the top 28 candidates themselves.

Now, it’s time for the 28 beautiful ladies to go through the next stage of the Miss Universe Philippines pagean, which includes the preliminary Q&A, swimsuit and evening gown competitions before the much-awaited coronation night on Sept. 25.

Take a look at some of the 28 delegates who gushed over their first day under the Miss Universe PH bubble.

Bernos donned a matching puff-sleeved blouse and shorts as she looked back on the time she applied for Miss Universe PH.

In a separate post, she shared a screenshot of her conversation with Tiktok creator Rica Salomon when she applied to the pageant.

“I went into this journey completely aware of what it entailed—after all, I’ve been a pageant fan for most of my life. I knew that pageantry was glamorous, but I also knew that it was technical, complex, and laborious. That’s what makes it beautiful, too,” she added.

Steffi Aberasturi (Cebu Province)

Aberasturi admitted that it’s “so surreal” to see her own Cebu Province sash for the first time. She also gushed about meeting her pageant sisters for the first time and chowing down on a “gastronomic feast.”

“This is going to be quite an adventure and with the sisterhood, new-formed friendships and with the guidance of Sto. Niño, I’m sure this life-changing experience is gonna be one for the books,” she said.

Maureen Wroblewitz (Pangasinan)

The Pangasinense lass admitted that she was “unsure” about joining the Miss Universe PH pageant—even when she submitted her application. But now, she’s “grateful the Universe let (her) know” that it’s her time to “try something new.”

Kirsten Danielle Delavin (Masbate)

Delavin couldn’t hide her excitement over being “officially locked in” for the Miss Universe PH pageant.

Beatrice Luigi Gomez (Cebu City)

Gomez said she has been in a “dreamlike state of bliss” since sliding her sash on. She also admitted that “tears came rushing inevitably” as she fixed the sash on her dress.

Maria Corazon Abalos (Mandaluyong City)

Abalos described her pageant journey as her “childhood dream.”

Victoria Velasquez Vincent (Cavite)

Vincent revealed that wearing her “beloved Cavite across my chest” is the most exciting part of the Miss Universe PH pageant. “Representing my home province in the best way I know how—with the heart and fighting spirit of a proud Caviteña,” she added.

In a separate post, the Caviteña lass also listed her “MUPh Bubble” essentials, which include seven suitcases, Cavite maleta stickers, a Philippine flag pin, and a hair tie.

Joanna Marie Rabe from Zambales, who was initially included in the pageant’s final roster, dropped out due to dengue.

The top 29 candidates are set to compete on the pageant’s coronation night on Sept. 25 at a yet-to-be-announced venue.
